The year 2021 marks the 100th Anniversary of Broadway’s first all-black musical production of "Shuffle Along," with music by Eubie Blake and lyrics by Noble Sissle. If you missed our virtual program this month with famed music historian Richard Carlin and famed music artist Ken Bloom, the recorded video will be released soon!

In the meantime, expand your knowledge of local Baltimorean James Herbert “Eubie” Blake's life. Shop in the Museum Store and grab a copy of Ken and Richard’s book, "Eubie Blake: Rags, Rhythm, and Race," where the authors used Blake’s personal collections—housed in MCHC’s H. Furlong Baldwin Library—to write the biography.
