The Phillipsburg Manor House -- Sleepy Hollow -- Owned and built by the Dutch merchant, Frederick Phillipse, in 1693. After he pledged his allegiance to England he was chartered SO MUCH land along the Hudson River in Westchester, from Spuyten Duyvill to the Croton. His family would end up losing all that land to public auction because they were silly Loyalists who didn't believe in America. #Idiots #NYhistory #phillipsburgmanor #westchester
