🔺Shirley is the intimate portrayal of trailblazing political icon Shirley Chisholm, the first Black Congresswoman and the first Black woman to run for President of the U.S, and the cost of accomplishment for Shirley herself. This film will tell the story of Chisholm’s boundary-breaking and historic presidential campaign.

🔺Based on the true story of Soror Kemba Smith, Kemba follows the journey of a sheltered college student who falls in love with a man, only to find out he isn’t who he seems. This strait-laced college student receives an outrageous sentence for her boyfriend’s crimes – placing her in the middle of the government’s “war on drugs”. Never losing hope, harnessing the power of Black civic organizations, sororities, celebrities, and lawmakers help free Kemba.
