22 young women decided on JANUARY 13, 1913
That they had social- academic- and philanthropic gifts and their purpose was to serve. 

I believe, as African Americans who pledge to a Greek organization, we are actually in search of our tribe- since we were robbed of it centuries ago???

Since returning to Africa this has become more clear as I find more of my tribe, and today they help me celebrate l!😝🙌🏾‼️🇬🇭

As a proud member of DELTA SIGMA THETA SORORITY, INCORPORATED, #HKMADE, Spelman College etakappa_dst, #13, on #j13,

I celebrate our  22 ancestors, while I’m here, in Ghana, West Africa, saluting their founding vision... I want to be testimony that we have NOT forgotten their founding principles.

We did NOT pledge to a chapter- we pledged to a life of service GLOBALLY. 🔺

We did NOT commit to building a financial machine, we committed to building true never ending sisterhood and a network of provision. 🔺

We are them...women focused on 

Being invincible.
Being unstoppable.
Being love. 
Being light. 
Being joy.
Being support.
Being loyal. 
Being the change. 
Being the bridge.
Being a sister. 
Being a DELTA.
