Simply, Jesus…

There's so much to that short statement and this ageless truth.
 
As we enter the pointy end of 2023, so much can happen in these last months of the year. Busy things (national holiday weekends, Christmas, school holidays); deadlines and wrapping up of end-of-year projects; more events that we may get invited to or host ourselves...
 
In all that, even in the joyous and wonderful things, we can sometimes miss the simplicity of *what* and *who* is the main thing in life: Jesus.
 
It is simple: everything hinges on Jesus.
 
And yet, it can be "easy " to place Him on the back-burner during busy days, seasons or when it comes to other priorities, however noble they may be. And whenever I am numb or undisturbed by this grave discrepancy in my life, I'm totally off-course and sinking. It may take a little while, but the fruit of the spirit's condition will always, and ultimately, be revealed.
 
The answer is simple: Come to Jesus. 

Any time, and every time.
 
The paradox of ‘Simply, Jesus’ is that He is nothing short of simple at all.
 
He is:
- The Name above all Names. (Phil 2:9)
- Creator of the world. (John 1:3)
- Saviour of our soul. (Luke 2:11)
- King of Kings. (Rev 17:14)
- Messiah. (Mark 14:61)
- Son of the Living God. (Matt 16:16)
- The Resurrection and the Life. (John 11:25)
 
He is magnificent beyond these trifle words can describe.

And, He is deserving of all affection, adoration, praise, glory, honour, esteem!
 
All our attention, all our devotion really have only one place:

Simply, Jesus.
