#JanssenPartner As you may have seen my story on nflonfox yesterday, some of you may know me from playing 14 years in the National Football League; winning three Super Bowls with the Denver Broncos and the Baltimore Ravens. I’m also the 267th member of the Pro Football Hall of Fame. Some of you may know me from being a co-host of Skip and Shannon: Undisputed. But what you didn’t know, is I’m a prostate cancer survivor, and thanks to early screening and early detection, I was able to beat this disease. 

 

There’s a 96% survival rate; thanks to early screening and early detection, I’m a part of that 96%. I started getting screened in my early 30s because
 of my family history. My dad died at the age of 39, he had two brothers that barely made it to the age of 50. And me, being unafraid, I knew it could possibly save my life, and it did. 

 

(It is recommended that Black men with a family history of prostate cancer start getting screened at age 40.) 

 

Black men, I’m encouraging you with September being Prostate Cancer Awareness Month, it’s time for you to
