David Pastrnak delivered for Team Czechia in the bronze medal game.

With Czechia down 3-2 to the United States after two periods, Pastrnak tied the game in the first minute of the third and then scored twice more to complete the hat trick and help Czechia capture the bronze medal with an 8-4 win.

Former Boston Bruins and current Czech teammate David Krejci spoke about his relationship with Pastrnak postgame: "He's one of the best players in the world. I'm really happy he came here. We wanted to play together. We talked about it all the time and, like i said, I'm really glad he came. He helped us a lot. He showed us what kind of player he is, especially in the third period. That's what big players do and he's definitely one of them."

Pastrnak and Krejci started the game on the same line, but were split up onto separate lines in the third period.

It was a move that paid off for Czech head coach Kari Jalonen, as both lines scored back-to-back to start the third period to take a 4-3 lead, and Czechia never looked back.
