Honolulu, HI (UPDATE Thursday, June 27, 2024) – Two Cal South teams have landed berths in today's Finals round at the 2024 US Youth Soccer Far West Regional Championships. The week-long competition is taking place at the Waipi'o Soccer Complex in Honolulu, Hawaii from June 21-27, 2024. 

After Cal South saw eleven of its original sixteen teams win berths in Tuesday's quarterfinals, four of those teams moved forward to Wednesday's semifinal round. In the semis, Boys 14U Oxnard FC took their shutout of Washington's XL B10 A to 6-0 to win their spot in the finals. Strikers FC North topped hometown Hawaii Rush, 3-2 to move to the Boys 16U final.

In the two other Cal South semifinal matches, Girls 16U Cook Inlet SC of Alaska shutout Elite Development Academy, 1-0, and Boys 18u/19U Apple Valley SC Storm was also shut out by the same score by PDX Premier Black of Oregon.

The event features youth soccer teams made up of boys and girls in the 13U-19U age groups, all competing to move forward to the 2024 US Youth Soccer National Championships, which are scheduled to take place in Orlando, Florida, July 23-28, 2024.
