"UNCW launched me and gave me the tools and connections to begin a rewarding career,” says Vanessa Lacer ’11, ’14M. “The university continues to support me today through alumni benefits, events and the alumni network.” UNCW Alumni Albert Eby ’06M; Vanessa Lacer ’11, ’14M; Megan Matheny ’12; and Joseph Mininni ’98M play a vital role in getting New Hanover County residents to their jobs, medical appointments, school and out of harm’s way during emergency evacuations. These Seahawks are leaders within Wave Transit Authority, which provided transportation to more than 1.4 million passengers in fiscal year 2017.
