There are sooo many tips and tricks to getting the most creamy, fluffy mashed potatoes. I have tried several of the tips myself and I am sharing my favorite go-to tricks I’ve learned to getting the most delicious mashers EVER. My biggest tip of all ~ use a potato masher! {AD} I use my goodcookcom potato masher, it’s comfortable and sturdy. By using a masher you won’t over mix (a big no- no!) and it will give you the best texture. Keep them a little lumpy or make them smoooooth. #GoodCook

Best Mashed Potato Tips::
1. Chop potatoes into large pieces (not too small) to prevent over cooking.
2. Make them equal in size so they cook evenly
3. Salt the water & keep them at a simmer vs rough boil, to ensure even cooking
4. Roast your garlic first! This will give you a more complex and delicious flavor
5. Heat butter, milk and other add ins on a low simmer before adding to potatoes. This will
prevent them from getting cold and tacky in texture.
6. Add grated parmesan or pecorino to the butter/milk mix (nutty salty goodness)
7. Always use a potato masher over a speed mixer. This prevents over mixing and getting
tacky sticky potatoes
8. Garnish! Always add a garnish like chives/green onions/parmesan/melted butter makes the mashers look appetizing and inviting
