D47 INSIDER: Last week, we visited West Elementary to see what students and staff were up to! Second grade was working on their word study, while kindergarten was just wrapping up their principal read-aloud time! Jump Rope for Heart was the focus in PE, and 4th grade was busy doing stations that were getting their heart rate up! We saw artwork from the yearbook finalists and other fun things, such as the March Madness book bracket! First grade was working on writing a book of their choice, and some students even chose to write a joke book full of original jokes! Third grade was working on their guided reading, and 5th grade was busy solving math problems! We also saw all the fantastic students on West's Principal Pride and Wildcat Wow wall. There are so many amazing things our students are doing and learning at West, and we were so excited to visit! #westisbest #D47Insider #d47pride
