EXCERPT FROM NOMINATION: 
Mrs. Thomas treats ALL of her children with such affection and heart. She has been known to drop off books on a child's doorstep just because it made her think of them. She also gifted  personalized holiday ornaments for each child with her signature Team Thomas phrase, "Your best is good enough!." Mrs. Thomas attends soccer games in the cold and birthday parties in the summer. She sacrificed her lunch breaks to have virtual lunch and games with students who were no longer in her class.  Additionally, Mrs. Thomas's reach extends to the families of her students. She calls and emails to share our children's success stories, say hello, or just check in on the family. Even our 3-year-old can't wait to join Team Thomas in 3 years.

Mrs. Thomas is the epitome of elevate. She lifts minds and hearts, Woods Creek staff and students, District 47, our families and our community. We are ALL better because of her.
