If you need us, we’ll be spending all summer soaking up the sun. ☀️ According to AmericanSongwriter, sherylcrow began writing the song, with longtime collaborator Jeff Trott, following surgery because she wanted to write a song that would cheer her up. It was officially released as the first single off her album ‘C’mon, C’mon’ in 2002 to offer something uplifting following a difficult fall that included the terrorist attacks of September 11.
