🌀 A short video on grip position relative to this specific players tendencies.⁣
There are many ways in which to grip the putter; preceding this video we captured scienceandmotionsports Putt Lab data identifying closed face both at address and impact as well as added loft tendency. ⁣
⁣
The players grip was previously positioned low in the fingers, somewhat close to a full swing grip. Result of this is toe of putter was sitting high, loft aligning left and lead wrist moving into too much extension (adding loft).⁣
⁣
Transfer the training outdoors, using some mirror feedback for face alignment, gates for face at impact/start line and awareness on grip position relative to “thumb pad” and forearm alignment. ⁣
⁣
Following from this training the skill is transferred in a more variable environment, this means no training tools, full process and recording of outcome. ⁣
⁣
Understanding your tendencies, strategy to improve, transfer the skill; Test - Train - Re-test.⁣
