I thought it would be fun to wrap it up with some fun facts about the dairy industry! 💃🏼

🍦 There are seven breeds of dairy cows- Holstein, red and white Holstein, Jersey, Brown Swiss, Guernsey, Ayrshire, and Milking Shorthorn

🐮 Over 9 million dairy cows are in the US

🚜 There are around 30,000 dairy farms in the US, 97% of those being family owned

🧀 The dairy industry supports more than 3 millions jobs in America and has an economic impact of over $790 billion 🤑🤯

🥛 Dollar for dollar, dairy is one of the most affordable protein and nutrition sources available (milk is around $0.25 per 8 ounce serving), and there are lactose free and A2 milk options available for those with sensitivities!

🐄 On average, a dairy cow weighs around 1,200+ pounds and produces between 8 gallons (often more) of milk per day
