Spending this beautiful Saturday afternoon tending to planting some new orchids.  Caring for orchids can be very rewarding and relaxing. Here are a few tips for your orchid care session:

1. Watering: Orchids generally prefer to be watered in the morning. Ensure that the water drains well to avoid root rot.
2. Light: Place your orchids in a spot with bright, indirect sunlight. Too much direct sunlight can burn the leaves.
3. Humidity: Orchids thrive in humid environments. You can increase humidity by misting the plants or using a humidity tray.
4. Fertilizing: Use a balanced orchid fertilizer every two weeks during the growing season and less frequently in the dormant season.
5. Repotting: Repot your orchids every 1-2 years to refresh the growing medium and give them more space.
