Did you know October is Islamic History Month in Canada?

In 2007, the Government of Canada declared October as the national Islamic History Month in hopes of giving Canadians the opportunity to learn more about the history of Islam in Canada and recognize the many achievements of Muslim Canadians in the arts, sports, academics, sciences, literature and their communities. It is also a time to acknowledge the ongoing challenges and barriers that Muslim Canadians face. 

Although October is coming to an end, to celebrate Islamic History Month, we will be highlighting some extraordinary Muslim women in the basketball community over the next few days. Stay tuned✨😊
