Earlier this month, Rob Simmelkjaer became the Chief Executive Officer of New York Road Runners. He shares reflections about his first month on the job and what nyrr means to him and the community. 

"As we come to the end of 2022, I want to recognize and thank you for being part of this special community. We are extremely grateful for our runners, staff, volunteers, partners, and many others who make it happen throughout the year. You truly inspire us with your love of running."

Rob visited Middle Schools 136 and 821 in Brooklyn to hand out some of the 1,000 pairs of NewBalanceRunning shoes distributed to kids. He saw firsthand how NYRR positively impacts the community.
