Globally, at least 2.2 billion people suffer from vision impairment. Almost half of these cases could have been prevented - or treated - through adequate eye care. 

Thursday's #WorldSightDay is a reminder of the importance of routine eye checks to prevent vision impairment, which can have major and long-lasting effects on all aspects of life.
