The Palais des Nations, home to the #UnitedNations in Geneva, #Switzerland, glows in orange to mark the 16 Days of Activism against Gender-Based Violence. The annual campaign kicked off on 25 November, the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women, and wraps up on Friday's #HumanRightsDay.

1 in 3 women experience violence in their lifetime -- and amid the pandemic, domestic abuse has surged worldwide.

During these #16Days - and every day - each and every one of us can do our part to prevent violence against women, by speaking out to help break the cycle of abuse, supporting survivors and their right to justice, stopping victim blaming, promoting #GenerationEquality, and much more.
