About the Advanced Composites & Technologies Course: 
We all know about plastics, fiberglass, aluminum, and steel as well as their uses, weight and strengths. What if there were a material with the weight being lighter than any one of these and the strength greater than any one of these? Fortunately, the technology has been in use for some time, but the product and its applications are now being explored in almost every industry where the weight and strength of material is critical. 
Composite materials are making significant in-roads into both commercial and military aircraft, helicopters, and custom automotive and are viewed as a high growth market. Our country has a high need for individuals to lead in this area. 
The Fab School sees this proposed program as an obvious step forward in our program offerings. The Fundamentals of Fabrication program established the concepts, principles, applications and skill-set development with our students. Our Digital Design and Manufacturing program advances the applications. This proposed program will afford students the opportunities to develop skill-sets and knowledge that represents a cutting-edge industry
