Staff Spotlight 🔦: @KellyKilgo

With a love for golf that dates back years and a career devoted to enhancing the world of it, Kelly Kilgo is a testament to dedication and drive. Holding the position of Managing Director of the TGA Foundation and Outreach, her journey with the TGA started in 2006, blossoming from an admin to a leader.

Kilgo's tenure at TGA reflects a steady ascent through its ranks, her versatile roles demonstrating a commitment to the growth/success of the game. In her initial days, she excelled in a variety of admin tasks, proving herself an invaluable asset. By 2007, she had seized the opportunity to serve as Executive Director of the WTGA, where she oversaw all things associated with women's golf in Texas. Although WTGA and TGA were separate entities at the time, the shared space and synergies between them proved fortuitous, culminating in a merger in 2016. This union allowed her to evolve into her current role as the Managing Director of TGA Foundation and Outreach.

One of Kilgo's most treasured memories at TGA was her transition from an admin to the Executive Director of the WTGA, a momentous and fulfilling shift in her career. The bonds she formed with the WTGA board members during her tenure as director endure to this day, with many now serving on the TGA board/committees.

In 2023, Kilgo looks forward to bringing to life the Foundation's Strategic Plan, a vision for the next 5 years that spans governance, fundraising, and beyond. She is particularly enthusiastic about the growth of the @yocgolf program, a cornerstone initiative under the TGA Foundation. The passion for her work is matched by her love for the game, which she indulges almost every weekend as part of a longstanding league.

However, her interests extend beyond golf – Kilgo is a fervent supporter of the Georgia Bulldogs and an ardent follower of college football. Over the years, she's fused her enthusiasm for sports with her professional pursuits, creating a dynamic, exciting career in the world of golf. Her journey so far tells a tale of passion, commitment, and the determination to make a difference in the world of sports, making Kilgo a vital part of the TGA family.
