Staff Spotlight🔦 - Mark Button - @markabutton

A key player at the Texas Golf Association since 2014! Starting as the Director of Communications, he quickly climbed the ranks to become the Senior Director of Communications, where he led a talented team to great success, expanding the TGA Member database from 50,000 to over 160,000. His team also created the digital magazine, Lone Star Golf and the monthly newsletter, Local Knowledge.

In 2023, Mark transitioned to the role of Director of Business Development, focusing on expanding the TGA's reach by securing strategic partnerships and sponsorships for the association and championship events.

Some of Mark's most memorable experiences at the TGA include creating Lone Star Golf from scratch and working on major events like the Texas Amateur and Women's Texas Amateur.

Mark is looking forward to bringing more presenting sponsors to TGA Championship events in 2023 and exploring new association-wide partnership ideas.

Outside of work, Mark's hobbies include golfing, playing guitar, and enjoying music concerts with his wife. But his true passion lies in being a father to his son, Hayes, coaching his tee ball team and sharing his love for golf.
