Yesterday was my last banquet, and while sitting here reminiscing on all of the great memories, I can absolutely say I’m so grateful and blessed to have done my 5 years of college at UCLA. This program has helped me grow and become the woman I’ve always dreamed of being. First, I want to give all the glory, honor, and praise to God; He has held me down through this winding road of a journey. And has blessed me beyond what I could’ve ever imagined. I want to thank the coaches for taking a chance on me, a kid who tore her ACL twice before even getting to college. Who woulda thought that with 3 ACLs and 5 total surgeries later, I woulda finished my career playing in the Sweet Sixteen. Shoutout to my teammates, my true hype people, and some of the many reasons why I’m such a fan of basketball, y’all have revamped my love for a sport I’ve played for a long time, and y’all have truly become more than teammates for me but my friends and sisters. I love y’all tons. Shoutout to everyone who has supported me and this team over my years here, and I truly hope I’ve left this program better than I found it. And in the famous words of GloRilla, “At the end of the day, the day gotta end”! I love you all, and GO BRUINS.
