Fostering Inclusion With a Student-Designed Sensory Path • STEM teacher Kyley Longo-McGarvey loved the idea of creating a sensory path at her school, Myers Elementary–but what makes this path extra special is that her students designed it, in collaboration with their peers in special education. Because of the pandemic, notes occupational therapist Wendy Bush, “We're seeing more dysregulation in the kids.” So, not only will Myers’ sensory path be used for kids with sensory needs; it’s a place where any kid can blow off some steam.
