Thank you Herzliya!
After three wild and amazing years, it’s time to say goodbye.

It feels like just yesterday I was some kid, sitting in my room during the COVID lockdown, looking for a way to make an impact. One cold email later, I began the journey of a lifetime. The first year as an intern with no skills, just trying to learn what I needed to. Then the offer, the chance to go halfway around the world to work for a professional basketball team. I didn’t hesitate. Despite the risks, I knew I had to go for it.

It certainly all paid off. 
In these three years, I’ve seen everything - a war, the losing streaks, European competition, playoff success, and of course the title.

To be a part of the first Herzliya team to win a title in 27 years was truly incredible. For the kid who always imagined what it would be like to win a title, I never imagined it would be in Israel certainly not at the ripe age of 18. 

I had the privilege, with a lot of hard work, to reinvent the Herzliya brand. This little team with less than 1400 followers is now one of the media powerhouses in the league, with videos racking up hundreds of thousands of views. 

I will forever get goosebumps when people talk about my work as inspiration or when I get stopped by some kids walking through the streets. That is the biggest compliment I could ever get.

So many people were with me along the way and deserve to be publicly thanked, but I will mention only a few of them here. I wouldn’t have been able to accomplish any of what I did without the support of all our players. Not everyone loves having a camera stuck in their face all the time, but you guys managed to put up with it. 

Amit and Eldad, you took a chance on this unproven kid from Canada and trusted him to share the team with the world. While there certainly have been ups and downs along the way, I know that we accomplished so much over the past few seasons together.

This is not necessarily goodbye forever and I’m not leaving just yet. There is still work to be done, but very soon bherzliya will be in the hands of someone else.
