This week I found photos I had never once seen.

Photos that feel like they were taken years ago, when in reality they were taken less than 5 months ago.

Photos that instantly brought me back to this very moment in time.

Surreal.

That’s what this moment, the second I met my daughter for the first time, felt like.

Indescribable.

That’s what all the moments after this one have felt like.

BR (before Rudi), I was convinced a newborn would add nothing but chaos to my already crazy life- but, from the very second they put her on my chest, she’s been the calm I’d been searching for, but could never find.

It was her I needed all along.
