This week’s #andsheisanadpi is a triple spotlight on our amazing sisters Kaitlynn Hammons, Gillian Patton, and Liv Sinrich, who are advocating for campus change as members of Vanderbilt Student Government (VSG) in all different areas, including academics, financial, and student affairs. 💎💎💎

First up, Kaitlynn is a member of the Economic Inclusivity Committee. The committee strives to make the Vanderbilt community as financially inclusive as possible by voicing the concerns of students to administration, compiling financial resources, and collaborating with other campus organizations that have similar goals, such as FirstVU, Quest Bridge, and Experience Vanderbilt. 📖📝

On her role, Kaitlynn said, “The work means so much to me because as a QuestBridge scholar I am extremely aware of the vastly different backgrounds that students come from. My goal is to make sure that all students, regardless of socioeconomic background, feel like they belong and can thrive at Vandy!” 💕💕💕

In addition to being our incoming VPO, Gillian is a part of the Academic Affairs committee for VSG! Her committee is currently working on the Vanderbilt Learning Exchange, changing AXLE requirements, and adjustments to remote learning. Gillian is especially passionate about working for equity for remote students in the classroom through access to recorded lectures and adjustments to assignment deadlines for students in different time zones. 📚✏️

Lastly, Liv is a Fourth Year Senator in VSG. This is her first year in the organization, and she's loved being a part of campus change. Some initiatives she's working on this year include the Election Day holiday initiative & free printing. On her role, Liv said, “I can’t want to continue working with my peers to further improve student life at Vanderbilt!” 😊😊😊

We are so lucky to have these passionate sisters who care so much about our campus community! We love you so much, Kaitlynn, Gillian, and Liv, and can’t wait to continue to see you shine in your roles!!! 💙💙💙
