I've been here... we all have.

As a younger professional, it is absolutely acceptable to take lower rates for jobs that you're passionate about.

HOWEVER

There is a very large difference between a passion piece and a job. If you're establishing yourself as someone who can get pushed around and negotiated with, you'll never break through your price barriers... especially with those same returning clients.

Once you start letting clients know that you may not be a good fit, you'll immediately earn respect.
