The Coral Pink Sand Dunes in Kanab, Utah.

I would say this is a must see but beware because the journey to ride the sand dunes is strenuous. This is a national park so you have to pay an entry fee and you can rent sleds or snow boards on site. You can also fly drones there with a $5 permit fee. Once you park and head toward the dunes, there will be a lookout point. The sand is deep and hot but it’s easier to walk in it without shoes. If you wear shoes, go with sneakers. The walk toward the dunes is long and there are no motor vehicles allowed. Once you arrive at the dunes, you have to climb them to slide down. I only tackled the smallest one but there was some major drop offs if you’re into a bit more adventure. Whatever height you choose is on you because you have to climb it. Don’t carry anything you don’t mind loosing including a phone. If something falls in the sand, it’s gone! Go with a group if possible so one person can record and you can take turns with the board. You will need a break in between each climb.

Sliding down the dunes can be scary but fun. Because they are steep, you will pick up speed quickly and the only way to slow down is to smash your fists into the sand. The ride can also be bumpy hitting dents in the sand. All and all, it’s exhilarating! Go in the morning before the sand starts to cook.

I only rode 2 times but this whole trip was under $40. There are restrooms, a gift shop, picnic areas and camping on site. Everything you need is near. They even do atv tours in the park but not on the dunes.

There’s so much to do and explore in Utah. You don’t have to travel to another country for views and vibes. Y’all always ask me how I find stuff and it’s either a Google search or Pinterest! I tend to save posts I see on the internet too for future reference.
