Bull rider Tristan O'Neal finds confidence-boosting result at Livingston Roundup

Before he arrived in Livingston, Mont., Tristan O'Neal had an inkling something special might be on the horizon.

His draw for the Livingston Roundup Rodeo was a familiar bull in Silver Creek Pro Rodeo's Chandler's Dream. O'Neal hadn't been given the opportunity to ride Chandler's Dream before, but he had seen the animal in action previously at a futurity event.

"I watched him once in Texas and the guy was also 89 on him, so I knew I was going to have to come with my hammer cocked and be ready for pretty much anything. He's a smart bull and he gets a lot of people down," O'Neal said.

The Valier, Mont., cowboy became the first competitor to record a ride on Chandler's Dream in a PRCA setting, registering an 89-point ride to win the Livingston Roundup title and secure a $6,317 payday.
