One of them ones 💔 

Former Bayside and Old Dominion standout, Mario Mullen, passed away recently from a sudden illness at 50. 

Mullen helped lead the Bayside Marlins to back-to-back state titles in 1990 and 1991, and was named the Group AAA Player of the Year in 1991. 

As a Monarch he earned All-Colonial Athletic Association freshman honors. In 1995, he had 16 points and 10 rebounds to help the Monarchs upset third-seeded Villanova in the NCAA Tournament. 

After college, Mario went into education and coaching in the 757 area. When the Ocean Lakes High job opened up in 2020 he took it and had been there for the past 3 seasons. 

You will be missed by many and never forgotten big guy! 🦁❤️🙏
