The BWNC brand has really changed my life. I started this thing as a way to give back. I had a lot of creatives dming/emailing/texting me (idk how they got my number) asking for advice on how to break into the industry, asking gear questions, askin me to check our their work…

I would answer the questions but I thought… damn, what if someone else has the same question? What is this answer could help multiple people at once? Maybe a response of mine could answer a question they didn’t even kno they had!

So i made a move. I told everyone I would start a private community where creatives could come together, ask their questions, share their work, and give advice. What i loved so much was that it wouldn’t just be me answering the questions or weighing in… OTHER, brilliant - talented - nerdy mfn creators could share their insight as well 💡

🤰☕️ And then i gave birth to blackwithnocream (i drink a lot of coffee when i make stuff… i take it black as you can see for those asking how i came up with the name lol) - a home for the creative community.

A safe place to let your guard down and build friendships. Find job opportunities, hire creatives, collaborate on passion projects… 

This is and always will be the goal of BWNC. To be an educational resource & a way to connect and be heard.

I wish I had this when I was coming up and I’m glad I have it now, even in this dope position i am in with my career - we’re always learning.
