Pre-Classic. The year of Hayward Field renovation. The special host of Stanford University. Combined with those unique circumstances, it was our own hgreenrun’s first Diamond League and her first Pre Classic. 
It certainly did not disappoint. Against a world class field, she finished a fine 4th. Her first time breaking the 2:00.00 barrier. In the elite world of women’s 800m, sub-2 is the elusive barrier. Hanna not only broke it for the first time, she smashed it, skipping the 1:59’s and straight into the 1:58’s. Her new PR also counts as a qualifying mark for the World Championships later this summer, and next year’s Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games.
