"Running for a reason and the Houston Food Bank helped inspired me to train and challenge our younger scholars, pre-kinder and kindergarten students to give back to their community. " 

Johanna Chesser, a Kindergarten teacher at Stafford Early Childhood Center, picked the houstonfoodbank as HER reason to run, because she saw how The Houston Foodbank helped families at her school with the Backpack Buddy program and the annual Food Drive their district participates in. 

"Food insecurity is real in our school community, and both programs have helped families have access to food." -says Johanna Chesser.
