39 years ago, French intelligence carried out a terrorist attack that took the life of our photographer, Fernando Pereira, and aimed to silence our protest against nuclear weapons testing, with the sinking of the original #RainbowWarrior in Aotearoa / New Zealand.⁣

On July 10th every year, we remember Fernando and reflect on our resilience in the face of adversity. Despite the attack, we emerged stronger and remain determined to fight the #ClimateCrisis. We draw strength from #PeoplePower and remain hopeful for a brighter future.⁣

Right now, the oil corporation Energy Transfer is suing in a blatant attempt to silence legitimate work to protect people and our planet — all because we stand up and speak out in solidarity with the communities they’ve exploited, undermined, and silenced in their blind pursuit of power. But we won't let them.⁣

Today serves as a reminder: You can't sink a rainbow and you can’t silence the power of the people. ⁣
