For 10 years I’ve watched faithkipyegon’s impact on the women’s 1500m globally. On Sunday, I got to have the best seat in the stadium to watch her break her own World Record. Faith has completely elevated our event and challenged us all to level up alongside her dominance! I’m calling it “The Faith Kipyegon Effect”, something I’m sure all of the women I compete with will recognize and understand first hand! 

I’m still trying to find the words for my race on Sunday. I feel so lucky to have had the opportunity to see what I was capable of when my fitness and preparations aligned with a perfect racing opportunity. I’ve never been afraid to put myself up there in races and die trying. I am so proud of the trust and confidence I’ve built from my training over the years. I felt a different kind of readiness to try and see what was possible on Sunday and I was absolutely stunned by the outcome. But the more I’ve processed and reflected over the last few days, I can see the trajectory, unwavering diligence and belief that has gotten me here, ready to see what I was capable of if I committed to the race. 3:50.83, 5th fastest all time 🤯

The current wave of 1500m runner’s are special. It’s a mind bending time to be a part of this event with World Records, National Records and PB’s constantly being reset, the level of performance is going to continue to up level with each racing opportunity. It’s an honour to compete alongside and be inspired by all of the athlete’s I get to share this part of the 1500m history book with 🫶🏼
