Today we're marking #righttoreadday, a nat'l day of action to defend, protect, and celebrate your right to read freely! Follow uniteagainstbookbans for specific actions you can take to fight back against book bans, censorship, and attacks on libraries and librarians. #nationallibraryweek #schoollibrarymonth

Efforts to ban books doubled in 2022 from the previous year, according to americanlibraryassociation. Some state legislatures are trying to defund libraries, and dangerous measures to vet and ban books are coming from school boards, local governments, and statehouses.

Let us know how you are showing up to protect this fundamental freedom for individuals to choose what they read.
