The NCAA's rule change allowing student-athletes to now play immediately after transferring programs is impacting athletes in a way most people don't realize — it reduces the opportunities available to high school football players.

Now that transfers are able to play immediately, bigger college programs are going to prefer taking a kid at a position who has the experience of playing college football compared to a younger player coming straight out of high school.
