We learn that Michael started as a production assistant and we hear about how he worked up the ladder to becoming an assistant director. Michael defines his role for us as achieving the director’s vision within the time frame of production, an impossible goal! He tells us about how hard it is for him to keep his mouth shut on location scouts and about his opinions on where he believes the director should be on set.
