We are proud to lead such a powerful, impressive, smart, beautiful, and diverse group of young women. Daily, we are encouraged by them and their willingness to unite, lead, and educate. Higher education is about empowering our next generation to find their voice and their passions while equipping them with the tools they need for success beyond UTEP.  Each young women on our team has a unique and powerful story. Each one has her own powerful platform. We recognize the social injustices that face both our nation and our Black young women and their families. Discrimination, segregation, and racial inequality continue to be issues within our country and communities. Now more than ever, we will continue to show up, listen, learn, and lead. We will support all of our players as they find their voice and use their platform to bridge divisions and promote inclusion, equality, diversity, and unity. 

As a program, we acknowledge the need to form and support progressive initiatives such as #TWC66, which is a foundational step to foster diversity, inclusion, love, respect, equality and education. 

We recognize that this is only the first step in educating and opening lines of communication. As a program, we are excited to be able to share our players’ voices and their stories. We encourage our fans and supporters to stay tuned as our young women find their voice in the fight against inequality and discrimination.  We condemn racism and will continue to take tangible steps for impactful change. #UnitedForChange
