....And here we are, the final "Meet The Band" series entry. Sit back and enjoy long winded posts about how white leather pants, flea markets, and El Caminos have shaped and inspired me to come up with the same 3 riffs for almost 20 years.

One of my first memories as a human being on this planet was watching the Paradise City and Patience videos on Headbangers Ball back in the late 80s and lining up all of the couch cushions and pillows to make a drum set to play along with them (which is probably why I always try to poorly play Mike’s drums at every practice). Even though I was only about 3 years old at the time, I remember thinking “these are the coolest guys I’ve ever seen in my life”, or whatever a 3 year old’s equivalent of that would have been. Coupled with the fact that both of my parents were both into metal/hard rock, I quickly began to follow suite.

Wanting to live out my Steven Adler and Tommy Lee hair metal drummer fantasies (the drumming part, not the heroin and domestic abuse parts) I began playing drums (single marching band snare) in 4th grade. Being a stupid little kid and coming to the realization that elementary school drum lessons/classes are not the same of playing hair metal songs, I switched to guitar in 5th grade. Having taken some lessons, I didn’t really take it seriously and let my guitar playing fall by the wayside for a couple of years (probably because I couldn’t play Sweet Child O’ Mine after only two weeks of playing). It was around this point that I dove head first into thrash and decided to pick up the guitar again and essentially start at the beginning/with the basics. Learning your typically chords, scales, theory, etc. I began taking playing much more seriously, learning more and more difficult songs, and eventually started building the foundations for writing my own riffs and songs (and learning how to play Sweet Child O’ Mine).
