How’s it going everyone? It’s me, Michael. I’m now 26 years old and from Gilbert, Arizona⠀

Like Alec, I’ve been playing music since I was a youngin’ in fourth grade playing the snare drum in the elementary school. I stuck with percussion through my freshman/sophomore years of highschool bands. In Junior High I got my first drum kit from my Grandparents, and shortly after started my first band where we would try to play covers of Metallica’s Jump in the Fire for the Jr High talent shows.⠀

As a Junior in Highschool, I played my first shows filling in for some friend’s metalcore band, “the Silenced” and from there I was hooked on playing live shows. After those shows I jammed with a bunch of different musicians that I met through ads at Hot Topic or Craigslist, until I met the first Long-term band I’d be a part of called ColdSlate, a band that mixed Grunge, Thrash, Hair Metal, and Alternative Metal.⠀

From there I started to explore my love of Power Metal/Symphonic Metal and found a group of people who would have a huge impact on me, and that Group became the band Nightsphere. The years that I was in Nightsphere, I learned a lot about playing live, Performing, booking shows, selling tickets, song writing and so much more. In this time I was able to open for bands like Sabaton, Firewind, Turisas, Doro, Winds of Plague, and Alestorm. And during this time really cemented my tastes in music from my love of bands like Kamelot, Epica and Nightwish, to exploring genres and bands new to me like Dream Theater, Children of Bodom, Seventh Wonder, and Ne Obliviscaris.⠀
