When you witness something happen, sometimes it's hard to know what to do or how to help. Shifting from being a bystander, to an active bystander takes practice and awareness. Recognizing your own level of safety and trying to decide the best method to help can be daunting, but not impossible. Next time you are in a bystander situation, remember the 5 D's: Distract, Delegate, Direct, Delay and Document.⠀
