We are excited to recognize Andrew Walker as the @wwt_inc APGA Player of the Month!👏

Walker earned APGA Tour playing status in 2021 by finishing second in the inaugural APGA Tour Collegiate Ranking. Earlier in 2021, Walker also earned playing status on PGA TOUR Canada via a fifth-place finish at PGA TOUR Canada Qualifying School.

He spent the majority of 2021 competing on PGA TOUR Canada but in 2022, Walker has primarily played the APGA Tour and has quickly established himself as one of its most consistent players by racking up six top-10 finishes in 10 starts, including a runner-up finish at Valhalla Country Club in his most recent start.

“Never forget where you came from” is an adage that is near and dear to the hearts of many, including Walker. His reminder, a large Panama hat, rests atop his head every time he puts a peg in the ground.

“Wearing a straw hat is something I’ve been doing for 15 years,” said the 23-year-old Walker. “I started wearing it because of my dad, it was his look back to the day when he first got into golf. My grandfather and godfather wore a straw hat too. It’s kind of a trademark for me, but really it makes me think of my family and it reminds me to be thankful for them every time I play.”
