Melissa Tier (melissa_tier), a Ph.D. candidate in STEP, is back from her trip to Glasgow, where she attended #COP26 with colleagues from swarthmore & swatsustainability. She met world_wildlife CEO Carter Roberts (pictured) as well as others working on climate adaptation. “It was encouraging to hear U.S. reps place an increased emphasis on whole-of-government and multi-level climate adaptation and mitigation. Whether commitments made at #COP26 can rise to the level of ambition needed to face the climate crisis remains to be seen,” Tier said. She was able to share her experiences with STEP colleagues (including Michael Oppenheimer, longtime participant in the #IPCC) in a live-from-Glasgow Zoomcast last week.
