Determination…SBD Elite powerlifter Brett Gibbs (BrettGibbz) set his first theIPF World Record bench press in the 83kg weight class in 2015, when he pressed 197.5kg. Brett has gradually been increasing the bench press World Record since then, and has been involved in some fantastic battles with Great Britain's Owen Hubbard. Brett holds the current World Record of 216kg, which he set at the Commonwealth Powerlifting Championships in September this year after chipping what was Owen's existing  record of 215.5kg.
