A Temple Station deputy conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for several equipment violations in the unincorporated area of South San Gabriel 

During the investigation, the Temple Station deputies discovered a firearm inside of the vehicle. Additionally, using department resources, the Temple Station deputies discovered the driver was a convicted felon

The Temple Station deputies arrested the driver of the vehicle for several felony weapon violations
