## Caption

"Come OUT and Garden" is the name of the garden program at DykesWithDrills * a GroPride 🏳️‍🌈 grant winner! Program founder Julie Peri says youth involved in the program will learn how to safely use drills, power saws, clamps and more to build garden beds and gardening tool boxes, as well as how to plant seeds and manage a garden by:using worms and composting, weeding, watering and irrigation. 

Sounds awesome, and we can't wait to see all those empowered kids with their handmade garden boxes!! 

* Curious about their name? The organization writes, "We call ourselves Dykes With Drills. By using the word “dyke”, we reclaim it from its history of oppression and exclusion. By using drills and other tools, we build communities of diversity and inclusion. Our community includes people of all sexualities and genders, including those who are non-conforming, transgender, and allies."
