Did you know that the word "paper" is derived from papyrus, one of the early plants used several thousand years ago to make paper? If you're up to the challenge, you can make your own botanical paper to use for cards, bookmarks, ornaments, or even to plant in the garden - papyrus not required. This activity is a bit more involved than the ones we've shared recently, but if you've got an old blender around, it's a great sensory activity that kids of all ages - yes, even teenagers - will enjoy!

Head to the activities link in our profile to check out the instructions for homemade botanical paper or save this post for a rainy day activity. If you give it a try, share it with us during Kids Garden Month so we can see how you and your kids #GardenTogetherAtHome.
